Safeguarding under 18s and vulnerable adults briefing - online training
This online learning course, endorsed by the local authority, is available for use by University staff. The programme requires up to 2 hours to complete and provides a basic level of awareness and
understanding of child protection. To access the training please contact
Jo Hopkins in Learning and Development so a central
record can be maintained.
The University is legally obliged and committed to
safeguarding and promoting the welfare of under-18s and
vulnerable adults who participate in its organised
activities or services. These include registered students
who are under 18 or would be regarded as vulnerable adults
and children who come onto University premises as part of
organised activities. The briefing session will raise
awareness about child protection issues, provide information
about the above policy and staff guidance and allow for
discussion and questions about the implementation of the
policy.
