Business and community

Our academics have extensive experience of working with non-governmental organisations, businesses, governments, and inter-governmental organisations across the world, including the United Nations and the European Union.

Research in our School of Law also engages with practical issues which have direct relevance to the work of legal practitioners nationally and internationally, while our academics have real experience of working in the field.

"Birkett Long LLP has had a long and mutually beneficial relationship with Essex. We attend the Law Fair and other similar events, provide assistance to the Essex Law Clinic, have offered work experience placements and have recruited graduates."  Shirley Tarbin, Director of Personnel, Birkett Long

We are proud of the partnerships we have developed with leading local, national and international law firms and the support we receive from our extensive alumni network.
