Portugal is one of the most popular UK tourist destinations and British aid agencies and other international organisations play a leading role in Portuguese-speaking Africa. There is therefore genuine demand for highly skilled graduates with Portuguese and English.

  There are several different pathways for the study of Portuguese at the University of Essex. You may want to start
  from scratch or, if you have studied Spanish to A-level, opt for a conversion course and add Portuguese.
  Portuguese can also be studied in a range of combinations such as Latin American Studies.
