The Open Language Programme allows members of the public, registered undergraduate and postgraduate students (and their spouses) as well as members of the University staff to study languages within a flexible, part-time framework. Credits can be accumulated and counted towards an award in Modern Languages (see Awards). The languages which are currently on offer are French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Arabic and Mandarin Chinese.
