This module is open to students who previously passed LA110 Initial French, or who have a recent GCSE grade A/B in French or equivalent. Among the skills which the module aims to teach you are: how to cope with practical aspects of living in France - e.g. what means of transport to take in Paris, what to do when you are invited by a French family; how to get information from travel guides, adverts and maps; how to fill in forms, write small ads, and compose simple business and social letters.
