In Practice
'In Practice' is the University’s new publication that is
dedicated to teaching practice and
written by academics for academics.
Coming soon
The publication offers an in-depth look at teaching-related research and projects
at the University, and aims to provide
innovative ideas and an insight into what colleagues are doing. It
will chart developments and provide a natural publication outlet
for TALIF grant-holders, participants of CHEP, and any other members of
staff involved in relevant activities.
Our main aims
- To encourage a scholarly approach to learning and
teaching at Essex.
- To establish a community of practice among innovators.
- To showcase innovations and excellence in teaching at Essex, its partner institutions and beyond.
- To provide a means for CHEP assignments and TALIF
projects to be more widely disseminated.
- To positively impact on the learning experience of Essex
students.
Publication
Beginning with the theme ‘crossing boundaries’ in autumn 2012,
'In Practice' will be published twice yearly. It will be principally online but limited hardcopies
will be available at events throughout 2012-13.
