In Practice
Conversations. Research. Ideas.
In Practice is the University’s new publication that is
dedicated to teaching practice,
written by academics for academics.
Vol 1 No 1 - out now
The publication offers an in-depth look at teaching-related research and projects
at the University, and aims to provide
innovative ideas and an insight into what colleagues are doing. It
charts developments and provides a natural publication outlet
for TALIF grant-holders, participants of CHEP, and any other members of
staff involved in relevant activities. It is principally online but limited
hardcopies of each issue are available at Learning and Development events.
Our main aims
- To encourage a scholarly approach to learning and
teaching at Essex
- To establish a community of practice among innovators
- To showcase innovations and excellence in teaching at
Essex, its partner institutions and beyond
- To provide a means for CHEP assignments and TALIF
projects to be more widely disseminated
- To positively impact on the learning experience of Essex
students
