Airport coach transfer service

Terms and conditions
Travelling to the Colchester Campus
On Sunday 30 September 2012 only the University has arranged coaches to
transfer Students from London Heathrow and London Gatwick airports to the
Colchester Campus. Seats
can be booked for these coaches using this web shop. These coaches will
only travel to the Colchester campus.
Travelling to the Southend or Loughton Campuses
If you are going to be based at the
Southend campus please see the

travel information. If you will be based at the Loughton campus please
contact your local
Support Service. For further

Coach Departure Times
London Heathrow - LHR: 09:00, 11:45, 13:30, 15:00, 18:30
London Gatwick - LGW: 09:00, 12:00, 15:00, 18:00
How much will it cost?
The cost will be £45. Seats are also
available for parents or guardians at the same price. If you wish to
travel with a relative, you are advised to book as soon as possible and ensure
that you have their full name (as it appears on their passport) when you are
making your reservations. Bookings are accepted online only.
Please allow yourself 2 hours from your landing time to clear customs and get
to the meeting point to register for your transfer. University
representatives will be there to greet you.
It will take approximately 2 hours to travel to Colchester, no food, drink or
smoking will be permitted on the coach.
If your flight is delayed
If your flight is delayed and you miss the airport coaches, you will have to
make your own transport arrangements to the University.
Once payment has been made, tickets cannot be refunded. We do not
accept liability for loss or damage to personal belongings or luggage. Please
ensure you have adequate insurance cover.
On arrival at the airport
Please make you way to the airport meeting point as instructed below, meeting
points are signposted by this symbol:
When you have cleared customs, Immigration and security checks (please allow
two hours from landing for this), you should go to the Meeting Group Assembly
Point.
Heathrow arrivals
Please meet representatives of the University of Essex in Terminal 3 at
Heathrow Airport. This is located inn the seated area which is on the
ground floor of the arrivals building. A courier will meet you there and
escort you to your coach.
Gatwick arrivals
If you are arriving into London Gatwick Airport please make your way to the
South Terminal Meeting Point which is located in international arrivals and
opposite WHSmith in UK arrivals. A courier will meet you there and escort you to
your coach.

How to book
Seats can only be booked in advance by completing the on-line booking form.
To guarantee your place you must book no later than Friday
21 September 2012.
Once you have made the booking and paid the relevant seat fee you will
receive a receipt by email, this receipt will be your e-ticket, please have it
with you at the airport to board the coach. If you do not receive a
receipt by email within 7 days please contact
travel@essex.ac.uk by e-mail or
