Orientation and registration programme

At the beginning of each course the International Academy hosts a orientation and registration programme. These activities are spread over two days and are designed to welcome and introduce new students to the University and the Colchester area.

There will be social events where you will have the opportunity to make new friends, meet staff and to find your way around the University and town centre.Orientation

The Induction Programme will help you settle in to life at the University and introduce you to life in the UK.

It is essential for all new students to attend the Orientation events.

  • Bank Talk – Managing your accounts
  • Pre-Course writing task
  • Introduction to the University study facilities (which includes IT introduction and Library)
  • Campus tours
  • Individual tutorials
  • Social Events

What should I bring to Orientation?

  • Your Passport
  • Course fees or Financial Guarantee
  • University offer letter
  • Any other documents that you were asked to bring with you for registration – set out in your offer letter
