24 May 2012: Joy Baugh wins BALEAP dissertation award

The British Association of Lecturers in English for Academic Purposes (BALEAP) has named Joy Baugh as its very first winner in its Masters' Dissertation Award scheme.
Joy, who teaches on the Essex English Language Programme in the International Academy, has been awarded a prize of £250 for her dissertation titled, 'What works in academic request email: A genre analysis with teacher and student perspectives' (University of Essex, 2011).
BALEAP commented: "The award-winning dissertation is a thorough and carefully orchestrated piece of research which offers insights relevant both for further research and for EAP practice."
