Student Initiatives
There are a range of student initiatives that are organised each year. They
help to broaden students' experiences and skills, and bring the Essex Human
Rights community together while being great fun.
- Undergraduate students have created "Human Writes", a newsletter written by
students on the activities at the Centre and human rights topics.

- The fourth
Human
Rights and Asia Conference is running this year, from 31 May - 1 June 2012,
organised by a committee of
students and supported by academic staff.
- The second
Human
Rights in Africa Conference also ran this year, taking place on 25 April
2012, organised by the Human Rights Society in collaboration with the Human
Rights Centre.
- Essex Human Rights Review is
an academic journal which aims to address contemporary human rights issues,
associated with the internationally renowned Essex Human Rights Centre.
