In 2002, Professor Paul Hunt (Department of Law/Human Rights Centre) was appointed to the post of United Nations Special Rapporteur on the right of everyone to the enjoyment of the highest attainable standard of physical and mental health ("right to health" or "right to the highest attainable standard of health").

Announcements

At 8th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council Mr Anand Grover (India) was appointed as the next Special Rapporteur on the right to the highest attainable standard of health. Mr Grover will take over from August 1st 2008.
