Training
In 1996, the Advocacy, Training and Education Programme was
launched to provide a structure for work in litigation and legal
advocacy, human rights training and human rights education.
The integration of theory and practice has always been a
priority in the Human Rights Centre's training activities,
building on the experience of its members who occupy prominent
positions within the UN human rights system. The Centre's recent
training programmes include:
- Amnesty International
For the past decade, the Centre has provided human rights
training for Amnesty International (International
Secretariat) in London on an ad hoc basis. The Centre
currently runs two training programmes, one on International
Human Rights Law and one on International Humanitarian Law.
Since 1999, the Centre has
organised short Modules in London annually for staff of Amnesty
International (UK).
