Profile: The Right Honourable Lord
Justice Sedley

The
Right Honourable Lord Justice Sedley has been a Lord Justice of Appeal since
1999 and is renowned as a strong supporter of human rights and civil
liberties. He practised at the Bar for 28 years, principally in the fields
of civil liberties and discrimination law, until 1992 when he was appointed
as a Judge of the Queen’s Bench Division of the High Court. He holds
honorary professorships at the University of Warwick and Cardiff University,
and is a Judicial Visitor at University College London. He is also President
of the British Institute of Human Rights.
