25 January 2013: Upcoming seminars by Mark Frost
Dr Mark Frost is one of our newer faculty members in the department, but he has already established an ambitious agenda of sharing his scholarship in venues across the UK and the globe. Last fall he presented a paper, 'Empire’s loyal dissidents: the evolution of anticolonial radicalism in British Asia, 1900-1920', to the Global and Imperial History Research Seminar at Oxford. In February he will give two more papers, 'Reclaiming the network: The Asian port-city as an information city, 1854-1920', and 'Pandora's post box: the mobility of discourse across British Asia, 1854-1920', to seminars at the Universities of Leicester and Cambridge, respectively. Then in March he will present as part of the panel ‘The Indian Ocean in South Asian History: A Diasporic Perspective’ at the Association for Asian Studies in San Diego, California. Safe travels to Mark!
