The History Department is proud to announce the success of one of our third-year students at the recent Big e awards night. Daniel Albertsen, a final-year Modern History/International Relations student from Norway, won the Student Representative of the Year award for the significant contribution he has made to the History Department as a year representative. In addition to regular and vocal attendance at Departmental Meetings and Staff/Student Liaison Committee meetings, Daniel has also helped the Department develop a number of initatives (such as raising awareness amongst students about how to avoid academic offences, and the use of student vodcasts) which enhance the student experience. Daniel received his awards from Deputy Vice-Chancellor Professor Jules Pretty at a ceremony on June 7 2012.
