24 January 2012: PhD candidate Nazim Can Cicektakan participates in BBC World Service debate on the Armenian genocide

Nazim Can Cicektakan, who is currently studying for a PhD in the department, was among the speakers in a debate as part of a special version of the BBC World Service programme "World Have Your Say" called 'Why is the word "genocide" so important to Armenians?' which was broadcast on 24 January. Participants discussed the Armenian genocide and recent French legislation which would outlaw its denial. A podcast was available for download from the BBC World Service website.
