The Dora Love Prize 2013

Building Bridges – Fostering Futures

Wednesday 23 January 2013, 7.30pm-9.30pm

Schools across Essex and Suffolk present their entries in the form of readings, art, film, poetry, performance and music, culminating in the award of the 2013 Dora Love Prize.

The overarching theme for this year’s Dora Love Prize is "Building Bridges – Fostering Futures": bridges between survivors of the Holocaust and today’s younger generations, bridges of understanding why genocides and hate crimes happen and what we can do to fight them, bridges between countries, between ethnic groups, between religious groups, between different sexual orientations, between disabled and able-bodied people – bridges leading away from intolerance, hatred and discrimination and into a future where everyone takes personal responsibility for his or her neighbour.

Venue: Lakeside Theatre, University of Essex, Wivenhoe Park, Colchester CO4 3SQ

To book: Free events but booking required. Call: 01206 872400 or e-mail: events@essex.ac.uk.
