Improving Access to Psychological Therapies
This course provides you with the opportunity to
engage in the national programme—“Improving Access to Psychological Therapies”
(IAPT) and is designed to meet the national
curriculum guidelines for those wishing to establish themselves as a
Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner.
It will provide you with a high level of
critical knowledge and understanding of the processes involved in treating
people with a range of emotional difficult focussing in particular on anxiety
and depression. You will not simply learn how to treat such individuals but will
understand their difficulties within the framework of social and environmental
factors.
The programme team will consist of a range of highly experienced
academics, clinicians and wherever possible draw on the direct experiences of
the service users.
Currently, it is only available to individuals working in IAPT
services.
