Research in the School
As a School, we specialise in
applied, multi-disciplinary research that
addresses issues of national and international concern to health policy and
practice and related fields.
We work closely with health and social care organisations and are keen to
promote and develop Knowledge Transfer Partnerships - a three-way partnership
between a university, a company and a high calibre graduate.
We are also engaged in a wide range of broad Knowledge Transfer activities
including:
- Service development work including supporting revision of
NHS Trust policies and procedures; developing practice tools for
staff; contribution to service audit groups; membership of Trust
uni-professional development groups and multi-professional
service development group.
- Facilitating training events and chairing of conferences
based on individual expert professional knowledge and skills.
- Invited membership of government and independent ‘think
tanks’.
