Our academics are leading major research projects ranging from the art of Latin America through to the English Civil War and the issues surrounding mental capacity.
We enjoy a world-class reputation for our work,
confirmed by the latest Research Assessment Exercise (RAE, December
2008) which placed us in the top ten in the country for History,
Philosophy and Art History. Our Schools and Departments also
consistently achieve excellent results for student satisfaction in
the National Student Survey.
We continue to build on our excellent reputation by providing
students at every level with a unique, research-informed programme
of study, while helping them develop the skills they need for their
