27 February 2013: The Brian Barry Prize - a new prize in political science

Beginning in 2014, the British Academy will award a prize in honour of Brian Barry, a distinguished Fellow of the Academy and founding editor of the British Journal of Political Science, which is hosted in our Department.

The prize, valued at £2,500, will be awarded annually for excellence in political science, as displayed in an essay submitted for the prize that has not been previously published and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere.

The journal covers developments across a wide range of countries and specialisms and is co-edited by three members of academic staff in the department.
