English language requirement

We require all students to have a good command of the English language as all instruction and written work is in English. If English isn't your first language then you will be required to take a language test. The usual minimum entry requirement is either an IELTS score of 6.5 or a TOEFL score of 88+ (computer based) or 580 (paper based). The English Language Certificate must have been taken within two years prior to the first day of registration.

If you are taking a TOEFL test, you can have your results sent direct to the University by entering the University’s institution code number 9836 on your answer sheets when you sit the test. You should also enter the code on score Report Request Forms (for tests previously taken).

Pre-sessional English tuition is available at the University for up to three months before the start of the first year’s study. If you would like to find out more about these courses, please visit the International Academy website, who offer these courses.
