All our degrees will give you a sound understanding in political systems, political behaviour and political ideas. As one of the larger political science departments in Europe we are able to cover a wide range of approaches and specialisms relating to virtually all aspects of politics, which allows you to select from a large number of courses and modules.

As a graduate from the department you will be well-equipped for a range of careers and you can leave Essex knowing that you have been taught by teachers and researchers at the forefront of their field.

Undergraduate applicants will be invited to attend one of our visit days to see and meet people in the department and be interviewed by one of our academic members of staff.

Our visit days in 2012 are:

Study abroad

There are many opportunities for you to study abroad, whether this is for one term or a full year as part of your course.
