Department of Government

The Department of Government at Essex offers both undergraduates and postgraduates a wide range of  courses and degrees relating to virtually all aspects of politics.  

The Department of Government has been ranked the top Politics Department in the country in the recent RAE announcement.  There have been six Research Assessment Exercises since the first in 1986 and on each occasion the Department has achieved the top grade available and, this time, has come first in the rankings.
