Our policy and strategy
We have a single Equality Policy and Strategy which provides a holistic framework to help us fulfil both our legal obligations and the core values set out in our Vision 2012-17. This Policy was published in April 2011 and brought together, for the first time, our previous suite of equality and diversity schemes, policy statements, codes of practice and action plans.
The Policy includes an action plan, objectives and performance indicators against which progress is measured. Progress against actions is monitored annually and reported to the Equality and Diversity Committee in May of each year.

In April 2012 we published three top-level equality objectives. Progress against these is also measured annually and reported to the Equality and Diversity Committee in May of each year.
