WebCT

WebCT is a web-based learning environment that, in many respects, is similar to Moodle. Although Moodle is replacing WebCT as of September 2007, some courses will still be available in WebCT during this academic year.

Your login details for WebCT should be given to you by your course tutor.

To access WebCT, go to: http://courses2.essex.ac.uk:8900

After logging in, you will see a personal portal (called "My WebCT") with a list of course(s) which you have access to. Just click on the title of a course to access the home page of that course.

If you are having technical difficulties with WebCT, please provide the Learning Technology Team (email: ltt@essex.ac.uk) with the following information:

• Course title and code
• Nature of the problem (e.g. access problems, forgotten login details, etc)
• Have you accessed WebCT before?
• Have you been issued with WebCT login details?
• Where are you trying to access WebCT from (on-campus or off-campus)?
• Who is the course tutor?
