The ECPR has enlarged its programme of services and activities
that are aimed specifically at graduate students, and these now include:
A
graduate network that is run in much the same way as the ECPR's
standing groups. Its aim is to facilitate graduate academic
and research activity and networking. It provides a framework
for interaction and joint initiatives of junior researchers
in social sciences with the following:
An online members' database which allows network members
to contact and be contacted by colleagues with related research
interests;
Dedicated web-pages;
An electronic newsletter regularly distributed to the
network members;
A Graduate Conference held every two years, that brings together 500 graduate students and senior political
scientists in a high-standard academic event;
The ECPR PhD Prize for the best dissertation submitted by
a student at an ECPR member institution;
A new ECPR book series, which includes the re-issue of
classic works, research monographs and outstanding PhD theses.
This graduate network is a forum for the exchange of ideas and experiences and it maintains an online database to facilitate
the network (see network database for more information).
