mobility and scholarship fund page

The ECPR can offer two types of funding to help support self-funded graduate students from ECPR member institutions wishing to participate in any ECPR activities (Joint Sessions, General and Graduate Conferences, spring and summer schools sponsored by the ECPR):

Mobility fund

The mobility fund is designed to contribute towards travel and accommodation costs, although it cannot be guaranteed to cover these costs fully. Funding is restricted to one applicant per institution per event in any one year and only students who are self-funded (i.e. who receive no financial support from their institution to attend the event in question) are eligible to apply for funding. Please note that all ECPR supported summer schools count as one event, the Joint Sessions count as one event and the Graduate or General Conference counts as one event. The eligibility criteria differ slightly between events and are listed under the sub heading of each event.

PLEASE APPLY FOR THE MOBILITY FUND IN ADVANCE - EVEN BEFORE YOU HAVE BEEN ACCEPTED TO PARTICIPATE IN AN EVENT.

Joint Sessions, Lisbon

General guidance notes:

  1. Applications must be received by 1700 hrs on 15 January 2009.
  2. A maximum of €500 will be awarded to successful applicants and this may be used to cover travel and/or accommodation costs.
  3. A person in receipt of a mobility fund grant is not eligible to claim additional reimbursement of expenses from the ECPR via the Official Representative.
  4. Please note that the grant will be paid AFTER the Joint Sessions upon production of proof of student status and receipts.
  5. Evidence (a letter from the student's supervisor and head of department) must also be provided, confirming that the recipient of the grant is self-funded.
  6. Where the full costs of accommodation or travel are covered, original tickets, boarding passes and receipts are required.
  7. Central Services staff will be available throughout the Joint Sessions to answer any queries on the Mobility Fund.

The deadline for applications for mobility funds to attend the Lisbon Joint Sessions of Workshops has now passed.
