Studies Conference organised by WISC and to be held in Istanbul
at Bilgi University, 24 – 27 August 2005. Most information
for prospective participants is to be found on the 'call for proposals'

Who are WISC?
WISC is formed by 20 international, regional and national international
studies associations or sections of political studies associations
(email: <wisc@kent.ac.uk>).
The First Global International Studies Conference will be held in
Istanbul, one of the world’s great cities. Situated in both
Europe and Asia, its vibrant culture reflects not only historic
links throughout the Ottoman and Islamic worlds but a country which
brings together ‘East’ and ‘West’ in a secular
state in which the population largely shares one of the world’s
most potent faiths – Islam.
