how to get there

AIR: The nearest airport to Ljubljana is Airport Ljubljana - Brnik and is 25km from Ljubljana city centre. Other close airports are Maribor (Slovenia), Ronchi (Trieste, Italy), Marco Polo (Venice, Italy), Klagenfurt (Austria) and Zagreb (Croatia). The cheapest way to reach Ljubljana from these airports is by train.

RAIL: Ljubljana has good railway links with all large European cities. The railway station is located in the centre of Ljubljana. Train travel within Slovenia is convenient and inexpensive. For more information please visit www.slo-zeleznice.si.

BUS: The bus station is located in the centre of the city. Major transport companies offer students discounts of up to 22%. For more information, please visit www.ap-lj.si.

CAR: Travelling by car can be the most convenient way to reach Slovenia from neighbouring countries. The Faculty of Social Sciences has a garage available for public parking. However, finding a parking spot in the city centre can prove difficult.
