Postgraduate research entry requirements

Admission to the PhD

Entry to the 3-year programme:

• A good honours first degree in Economics, normally an upper-second, or equivalent, AND strong performance in an MSc or MA in Economics, or equivalent
• A well-developed research degree proposal

Entry to the 4-year programme:

• A good honours first degree in Economics, normally an upper-second or equivalent in Economics

Admission to the MPhil:

• A good honours first degree in Economics, normally an upper-second, or equivalent, in Economics, AND strong performance in an MSc or MA in Economics, or equivalent
• A well-developed research degree proposal

Applicants whose native language is not English may be required to provide evidence of proficiency in English.
