Biography
Professor Alison Booth joined the department in January 2004 from the Institute for Economic and Social Research. Professor Booth's research focuses on labour economics: the micro-economics analysis of trade unions; the impact of unions on wealth and welfare; the impact of firing costs on employment; unemployment; the economics of training and education, and personnel economics (including promotion, performance-related pay and career development).
