A great feature about our degrees is that most students can change from one
degree scheme to another at the end of their first year. This is because most of
our undergraduates study the same introductory core courses in their first year.
Upon graduation you will have a wide range of career opportunities open to
you. Students wishing to enter the accounting profession can obtain some
examination exemptions from the professional accounting bodies. They may also
choose to go into banking or the financial services sector. Our business
management degrees allow students to choose careers ranging from human resource
management through production and operations management to marketing and beyond,
in private, public and voluntary sector organizations. Those who have completed
BSc Business Management and Modern Languages will also be well-equipped to
pursue a management career outside of the UK. A degree in finance will provide
opportunities for you to work in the City of London, investment banks,
international finance markets or stock-broking. A degree in Marketing may
provide opportunities to work in one of the household names in the retail
sector, for example Marks and Spencer or Selfridges. And, our Enterprise
Management graduates will have acquired a wealth of knowledge and experience in
start-up and growing businesses. The decision, as they say, is yours...but
wherever you go after graduation, a degree from Essex Business School will
provide a sound foundation on which to build an exiting and successful career.
