Course title
First-year student, BSc Business Management
I chose Essex because of its great international reputation and its
cosmopolitan mix of professors and students from all over the world. I relished
the opportunity to interact with so many different cultures.
Settling in to Essex was much easier than I ever expected. All those on
campus, both students and staff were more than happy to help us Freshers to find
our way around, and with any information we needed.
I currently live on the Colchester Campus in the North Towers and it is
quite simply amazing! Everybody is friendly and open, there is always someone in
the kitchen to talk to and whenever we are not going out we gather up and have a
great time in our own flat. I have also joined the Essex Business School
Society, Kickboxing and Basketball Club.
I will always remember my first day at the University. Seeing the Colchester
Campus for the first time, meeting my flatmates then going to Sub Zero that
evening for one of the many events prepared for the Freshers. It was a perfect
day to start my first academic year at Essex.
