Essex Business School Sponsors Local Business Awards
As part of its commitment to developing strong relationships with
businesses across the region, Essex Business School sponsored the recent Essex
Countywide Business Awards.
The awards, organised by local newspaper group Newsquest, aims to both
project Essex as a progressive commercial area with companies across a variety
of business sectors and to encourage new companies to relocate into the county.
"We believe that the awards are fundamental in developing a healthy,
prosperous and sustained local economy, and we are delighted to have
organisations of the calibre of Essex Business School sponsoring the awards,"
said Newsquest's Ann Quinn.
The awards, which have been running for 16 years, are open to small, medium
and large companies who operate, or are based, in Essex.
Many of the awards categories, including environmental awareness, community
working, staff training, business innovation and entrepreneurship, link directly
into areas of particular interest to the Business School.
"We are delighted to support these awards which recognise excellence and
encourage businesses, public sector organisations and not for profit groups to
develop strengths in training, innovation, entrepreneurship and community
involvement alongside their core business activities," said Essex Business
School director Professor Michael Sherer.
