MBA Project Modules

Research Methods and Skills

This 20-credit module provides students with the appropriate foundations for carrying out the research that will form the basis of their MBA Project. Drawing on both qualitative and quantitative approaches, the module will encourage students to think about key issues of method, research design and analysis. In the Autumn term students acquire the practical and analytic skills associated with framing research questions, reviewing academic literature, data gathering and analysing research findings. In the Spring term students choose, based on their project choice, from three specialised pathways that deal respectively with qualitative methods, quantitative methods and writing the management report.

MBA Project

Students will undertake a project in a subject area of their choosing during the summer term, having learned the necessary research skills during the Research Methods and Skills module. Each student will be assigned a project supervisor with extensive research experience in the chosen subject area.
