Entrepreneurship and Innovation
Professor Teck Yong Eng
- Head of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Group
The Entrepreneurship and Innovation Group (EIG) has established a niche group
of international researchers, blending marketing and business economics to
enhance knowledge of entrepreneurship and contribute to sustainable business
growth, society and the economy.
The group’s research outputs, degree programmes and knowledge transfer
activities span three key areas of any organisation, be it a new start-up, small
and established firms or non-profit organisations by addressing primary business
needs in terms of achieving business growth, internationalisation strategy, and
marketing and entrepreneurship. This is underpinned by our research in business
marketing, business economics, family business, supply chain management, and
international marketing.
Our aims are to:
- disseminate and impart our knowledge about key aspects of business
management to future leaders through academic programmes based on our
strengths in marketing and business economics;
- establish international reputation through our unique synergy of
research activities in the areas of business marketing, business economics
and entrepreneurship;
- advance knowledge about entrepreneurship especially in areas of family
business growth, international small business, international marketing and
relationship management; and
- lead research and teaching activities related to entrepreneurship and
marketing through our academic experts, first-class administration, invited
guest speakers, networks of alumni and community-led projects.
