The Accounting Group contributes to a wide range of undergraduate,
postgraduate and PhD programmes in the Essex Business School.
The members of the Accounting Group pursue a wide variety of research
activities: we simply follow our own intellectual interests. These include
political economy of auditing, accounting regulation, business history,
management accounting practices in the public and private sectors, accounting
practices in the agricultural industry; corporate governance, and accounting in
developing countries.
The Accounting Group also run an external seminar programme where visiting
academics and practitioners are invited to give papers. These seminars are run
through the Essex Accounting Centre.
