About us
Get an insight into the history of East 15, how we
were inspired by the work of the legendary Joan Littlewood and the Theatre Workshop, and how those
principles still influence us today.
East 15 Acting
School has a worldwide reputation as
one of the UK's most exciting theatre schools. We are a
member of the Conference of Drama Schools, with courses
accredited by the National Council for Drama Training.
We offer a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses at our
campuses in Loughton and Southend, including unique courses like BA World
Performance or BA Acting and Stage Combat. Students from around the world
study with us, and we have trained countless leading actors, directors and
technicians over our 50-year history.
East 15 luminaries include Alison Steadman (Pride and Prejudice, Gavin
and Stacey) Blake Harrison (The Inbetweeners), Arsher Ali (Four Lions,
Silent Witness), Reece Ritchie (The Lovely Bones, Prince of Persia) and
Oscar-nominated director Stephen Daldry (Billy Elliot, The Hours).
