Departments and schools
Our departments and schools are central to our outstanding reputation for
high-quality research. In the last national Research Assessment Exercise
(RAE, December 2008) we were ranked ninth overall, with many of our schools
and departments confirmed as amongst the best in the country. Teaching in
our schools and departments is student-focused and informed by our
cutting-edge research. We also provide a home to the UK Data Archive -
curator of the country's largest collection of digital data in the social
sciences and humanities.
