Computer
science is an extensive and immensely useful discipline, and the study of this
provides an important education in its own right. While our 3-year BSc schemes
provide most of the essential material required for a successful career in the
software and applied computing industries, there is even more to be gained by
studying additional masters-level material. The masters level material offers
greater depth and specialisation compared to the three-year schemes.
The 4-year integrated MSci enables students to gain an excellent grounding in
the fundamentals of computing together with the opportunity to pursue more
specialist areas of the subject, without any loss of continuity that taking a
separate MSc might entail.
