Preparing you for life after graduation
There has rarely been a better time for students to choose to study
computing or electronic engineering at university. Employers are crying out
for graduates. The IT and engineering sectors are now growing at a rate that
outstrips the supply of fresh talent. There will be openings for suitably
qualified software professionals and engineers as the market for graduates
continues to expand.
Almost 90% of our students gained graduate-level employment or a place on
a full-time higher degree course within six months of graduating in 2011
(most recent figures available). Our graduates also had the highest average
starting salary of all Essex graduates.
Our courses are designed to equip you with the skills you will need for a
career in the IT or engineering sector. We place an emphasis on learning
key skills that will be valuable even if you decide to move away from these
sectors. By studying with us you will also be prepared for
postgraduate study in the future.
Our graduates acquire exceptional skills during their time at Essex and have gained jobs with a wide variety of top employers. IT
graduates are in high demand and our graduate profiles demonstrate the versatility of the qualifications that we offer.
