is offering 10% reduction to conference delegates in all flights to
Istanbul. Please book at a Turkish airline outlet and quote the special fare
reference. For the special fare reference number please send an e-mail to
icsnn2006@istanbul.edu.tr giving your name and coordinates. The reference number will be returned to you immediately
Istanbul has two major airports (see map):
Atatürk Airport
It is located on the European side of Istanbul, at Yeşilköy. The distance of the airport Taksim is 28 km.
This airport is served from all the major cities of the world.
Transport from Ataturk airport to conference hotel should take about 15/20 minutes taxi ride and cost about 10 Euros.
Public transport from the airport to Taksim is also available and the most comfortable and convenient way is aboard
a big Havas Airport Bus, stopping at Bakirköy, Aksaray and Taksim. Havas (HAH-vahsh) buses depart the Arrivals
level of both the International and Domestic terminals. The trip to Taksim takes between 45 and 65 minutes, depending
upon traffic.
Sabiha Gokcen Airport
This is the new airport and is served from most European cities.
It is located on the Anatolian shore of Istanbul at Pendik / Kurtkoy, at a distance of 40 km to Kadikoy, 12 km to
Pendik and 50 km to Taksim. For transport to Taksim please refer to the airport WEB site:

VISA: Visitors from some countries are required to have a VISA before entering Turkey.
For some countries these can be obtained with a small Visa Fee at your embarkation
point (Istanbul Airports for example), for others they should be
applied for, prior to your departure, at the Turkish Embassy in your own
country. Can you please check this with your travel agent.
INSURANCE: The conference organizers do not have an insurance policy
for the delegates or their guest. Can you please make sure that you have the
appropriate travel insurance before you travel.
