About The Court
The Court of the University of Essex is a formal body, established under
Charter and Statutes, which serves a number of functions. The Court processes
involve:
The annual meeting is also an informal social occasion for Court members to
meet each other and senior members of University staff.
Outside of its official functions, the Court encourages people in the local
region to have an active interest in the University, be formally associated with
it and have an opportunity to comment on University affairs.
