Since its inception of the IEF has held an annual event each year, with a specific and typical theme for deliberation, presentations and discussion.  These events include:

²  the inaugural ceremony in Birmingham, United Kingdom in 2000

²  the 1st IEF conference on “Entrepreneurship and Learning” in  Naples, Italy in 2001 in conjunction with Federico II University of Naples;

²  the 2nd IEF conference on “Entrepreneurship and Regional Development” in Beijing, China in 2002; in conjunction with Nankai University, China;

²  the 3rd IEF conference on “Entrepreneurial Innovation” in Bangalore, India in 2003, in partnership with the Indian Institute of Management , Bangalore;

²  the 4th IEF conference on “Entrepreneurship: Contexts, Locales and Values” in Paris, 2004 in association with Paris Dauphine University;

²  the 5th IEF conference on “New Venture Creation Across Borders” in Cape Town South Africa, 2005, together with University of Cape Town and University of Western Cape; plus the conference on “Entrepreneurship Education” with the OECD in Trento, Italy,

²  the 6th IEF conference on “New Venture Creation and the Creative Trajectory: Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Creativity in Business”, in Riga, Latvia, 2006, in association with the Riga International School of Economics and Business Administration;

²  the 7th IEF conference on ‘Asian Entrepreneurship” in Shanghai, China, with the School of Management, Fudan University;

²  the 8th IEF conference on ‘Creativity and Entrepreneurship: Imperatives for Sustainable Global and Knowledge Based Economy” in Ahmedabad, India, with Mudra Institute of Communications Ahmedabad (MICA);

²  the 9th IEF conference on ‘Technology and Entrepreneurship: New Ventures and the Creative Use of Technologies” in Istanbul, Turkey, Sebanci University; and

²  the 10th IEF conference on ‘Entrepreneurship and Society: Creating Social, Economic, Cultural and Personal Value” in Manama, Bahrain, with Tamkeen.
