Facilities Available at Colchester Campus
The Colchester Campus offers a vast selection of flexible meeting and conference rooms with capacities ranging from 15 to 84.
Our lecture theatre building houses 9 tiered theatre style rooms, seating up to 560 in its largest, and a foyer area ideal for registration, catering and exhibitions.
The Ivor Crewe Lecture Hall houses two lecture theatres, each with flexible seating for 500, which can be integrated to create one large venue. The building also includes two seminar rooms and a foyer area suitable for catering and delegate registration, making it an ideal venue for exhibitions and conferences.

Poster Board Hire
Internal departments are now able to hire poster boards from Venue Essex. For more information, please see our poster board hire page (restricted).
Audiovisual Equipment
A full complement of audiovisual equipment can be provided on request, with technical assistance and support throughout your event. Our Multimedia Centre gives you the option to hold a small meeting or interview using video conferencing.
iLab
The iLab (Innovation Laboratory) provides a stimulating environment to inspire learning and new thinking. Ideal for brainstorming and teambuilding activities, the i-lab can be hired complete with a facilitator to motivate forward thinking and conversation.
Accommodation for Delegates
During the summer vacation, accommodation can be provided in single study bedrooms in either en suite or shared facility flats. Guests with special needs can be offered one of our purpose built en suite bedrooms on campus, subject to availability.
