The Mountain Trust
The Institute for Democracy and Conflict Resolution at the University of Essex (IDCR) and Mountain Trust (MT), an NGO based in Cambridge that works on development projects in Nepal has established a joint internship programme for postgraduate students at Essex studying in the areas of political science, international law and human rights.  In addition to working in Nepal, students will also be given the opportunity to develop their knowledge base, work on social media and communications about their experiences in the field, and network with other interns through the Mountain Trust, including the Humanitarian Centre in Cambridge. The internships are available for any postgraduate student in the social sciences or law with an interest in building democratic institutions abroad. The internship costs £1400 for a one month placement in Nepal.  Come along and find out more in room 4SB.5.3. 1pm-3pm.

University of Essex and The Institute of Psychoanalysis Clinical Workshop
Presenter Anne Paterson with Consultant Kenneth Wright. The aim of these workshops is to explore aspects of psychoanalytic treatment with clinicians from the Institute of Psychoanalysis. The focus will be the presentation of a case study followed by a dialogue between the presenter and consultant. Participants will be invited to discuss the case study in small groups before sharing thoughts and reflections in the plenary. 10.00am-4.00pm.  £60 for the day (£40 students/unwaged). 7.30pm-9.30pm - Anglican Chaplaincy Worship at the Anglican Chaplaincy.

MONDAYS

 

12pm-1pm - Buddhist Meditation. Multi-Faith Chaplaincy worship area 1.
7.30pm - Student Led Bible Study Group. Small Room, Anglican Chaplaincy.
 

TUESDAYS

9-9.30am - Anglican Chaplaincy: morning prayer for staff and students.
2-5pm - Anglican Chaplaincy: Chaplain Thomas Yap's open office (for appointments)

WEDNESDAYS

9-9.30am - Anglican Chaplaincy: morning prayer for staff and students.
12-12.30pm - Anglican Chaplaincy: Noon-time prayers for the University (with Communion once a month).
12.30-2pm - Anglican Chaplaincy: Tea Club with Games
7-8pm - Greek orthodox time  - Fr Alexander will be present to meet Orthodox students.

1-2pm - Anglican Chaplaincy: Staff Bible exploration
12-6pm - Islamic Society, including Friday prayers at 1pm.
7-9pm - Buddhist drop-in Meditation Class run by the Buddhist Chaplaincy.

SATURDAYS

7.30-10pm (monthly, last Saturday of each month) - Anglican Chaplaincy get-together.

SUNDAY

6pm - Anglican Chaplaincy: Meet at Chaplaincy for joint worship with St John's Church, Colchester
