Welcome to the Communications Office

The main role of the Communications Office (which is based at the Colchester Campus) is to promote the University of Essex positively within the media and the community, and help to ensure good communication within the University.

The Communications Office is the main point of contact for all media inquiries, and actively seeks media coverage of the University’s achievements and activities. It produces the University newsletter, Wyvern, and co-ordinates event management and photographic services for the University
