Academic staff

We bring together academics from across the University. As an interdisciplinary student you will take modules offered by various departments, enabling you to engage with specialists in a broad range of subjects.

All of our staff maintain long-standing research interests on a wide range of topics, including American history, law, literature, film, politics, and sociology. Research projects currently being pursued include American politics and the electorate, cinematic images of the American Pacific, politics and land rights of the native Innu of Labrador in Canada, civil rights and African American history, and American crime fiction.

You will study with internationally recognized experts in European politics, economics, law, societies, history, literature, film, philosophy and art who are accessible and dedicated to undergraduate teaching.
