FRINCO workers and students

We are a group representing local Christians in Colchester both on and off the Essex University campus, welcoming overseas students to Colchester.

We are a branch of

Registered charity no. 1094095.

If you are an overseas student in Colchester, we offer many activities including, an international cafe on campus, outings to interesting places, games evenings, Christmas parties and so on. We invite all students regardless of religious belief or cultural background.

Visit a local home with one or two other students

We can introduce you to local people who will help you to feel more at home in this country and to find out more about local culture. If you are interested we will put you in touch with a local person or family who will invite you to their home for a meal.

English conversation

International Café takes place every week during term time and at certain times during the summer vacation. This is the place to make English friends. Come and practise your English with native English speakers and learn about the English culture on campus. (No charge!)

An email will be sent to all students on the FRINCO email list at the beginning of the term with details of the arrangements for English conversation. You can sign up for the FRINCO email list using the contact form below.

Church visits and Christian courses

If you would like to visit a church on a Sunday or find out about Christianity, we can give you information about churches, Bible studies and a Basic Christianity course run on campus. This is a short informal course. See the contact form below.
